" I Thought I Stood" Collage
These are Drawings & watercolors of garden studies, figure studies and Intricate black & white images on ClaybordTm Black, a rigid board coated with white clay, then coated with black ink, which is then drawn into with various tools, many of which are artist designed.The Collages are created with found materials, many using vintage engravings and other vintage materials that tell the unusual stories that inhabit Wood's mind.
Wood's work may be found in private & Corporate collections across the United States and Europe. We meet with collectors to assist them to choose Wood's work - 27 pieces in one California collection - 21 in a North Carolina collection, several in N.Y.C. and Brooklyn, many in other states. Many of these are the unique works on vintage papers by the artist.
